FAREWELL TO Smt. VIJAYA, Headmistress

A grand farewell ceremony was organised on 10th June 2019 at school premises where the Teachers and PTA members gave a warm farewell to Smt. Vijaya, headmistress, giving her best wishes.

ANTI-DRUG DAY

An awareness rally was taken out here by our school students on Friday, 26th June 2019 against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is observed on June 26 every year following a resolution passed in 1987 by the United Nations Organisation (UNO) .

Our School Principal, Sri. Sunil flagged off the rally at GHS School in Vattavada. The rally passed through Koviloor Town. 

The theme this year is "health for justice, justice for health". This theme underlines the importance of a holistic approach that involves criminal justice, health, social service institutions and human rights. 

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

India’s Independence Day, is celebrated annually on the 15th of August. This day commemorates the independence and the end of the colonial rule of the British, achieved in 1947. The British had ruled India since the 18th century. This foreign rule ended in 1947. It is celebrated throughout the country with the ceremonial raising of the national flag and the distribution of sweets.

The students, teachers and parents of GHS Vattavada also celebrate this day and raise the national flag in a ceremonial way.

ONAM CELEBRATION

Onam is one of the most significant festivals of Kerala and is an attraction for the thousands of people outside and within the State.

Students and teachers equally enjoyed the Onam sadhya together. Teachers and non-teaching staff, PTA executives and students actively took part in Onam Celebration.

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION

Teachers Day celebrations are held in India on 5th September every year on the occasion of Teachers Day. The day is observed with much zeal and enthusiasm in schools and colleges by the students.

The Govt. High School Vattavada celebrated Teacher’s day with great fun and enthusiasm. A special function was arranged by PTA on this day. The PTA President Sri. Raghunathan has honoured all the teachers with his token of love.

INAUGURATION OF AGRICULTURE CLUB - "PADAAM ONNU PADATHEKKU"
 

Government HSS and Krishi Bhavan Vattavada jointly organized "Paadam Onnu Padathekku" programme in school premises on September 26th, 2019.

The function started with welcome speech by School Headmaster Sri. Mathivanan S. Following this, the chief guest Sri Murugan, Agriculture Officer addressed the students. The inauguration was conducted by our chief guest and afterwards, the seed packets distributed to the School Principal Sri. Sunil M S, class representatives from class I to class XII and to the teacher representatives.
