Christmas Celebrations - 2019

On 20th December 2019 we, Government High School Vattavada, celebrated Christmas in all its joy and happiness.

Christmas brings cheer and love and we celebrated it with the same fervour, spreading the message of love and joy among our children. Christmas cakes and gifts were distributed to the students.

A free eye check-up camp

         In our school, A free eye check-up camp was conducted by Idukki District Medical Office medical team under the leadership of Dr. Maniyamma on   7^th November - 2019. This is done in order to create awareness about eye related disorders and also early detection, if any.

New school building and Smart Class Rooms inaugurated at GHSS Vattavada

 

November 06, 2019 was indeed an auspicious day for all at Govt. HSS,Vattvada. The inaugural function of the School buildings and Smart class rooms were held today. Smt. Baby Sakthivel, District Panchayath Division Member, Smt. R. Lakshmi, Munnar Wild Life Warden and Sri. P. Ramraj, the Vattavada Grama Panchayath President were inaugurated the new class room buildings, smart class room for HSS section and smart class room for UP section respectively.

Our School PTA President Sri. Raghunathan G., Sri. Alagarraj, the Education Standing Committee Chairman Vattavada Grama Panchayath, Smt. Navamani Murugan the WardMember, and Sri. M. K. Sameer, Assistant Munnar Wild Life Warden were present on the occasion.

The programme was started with a silent prayer. The School Principal Sri. Sunil M S formally welcomed all the dignitaries present on the dais. Sri. Alagarraj, Education Standing Committee Chairman, presided over the function. The special speech was delivered by the Vattavada Grama Panchayath President Sri. Ramaraj. In the end, Sri. Mathivanan S, the School Headmaster offered a vote of thanks to all. He thanked all the invited guests and participants for gracing the occasion by their solemn presence. It was a happy day to all.

An Educational Class on Leprosy - Awareness Programme

In an effort to create awareness in our school students about the facts of leprosy, and its medical cure , we have organized an educational class on Leprosy. The class was handled by Dr. Amit, Primary Health Centre, Vattavda on 01^st October 2019.

"Paadam Onnu Padathekku" - Inauguration of Agriculture Club

Government HSS and Krishi Bhavan Vattavada jointly organized "Paadam Onnu Padathekku" programme in school premises on September 26th, 2019.

The function started with welcome speech by School Headmaster Sri. Mathivanan S. Following this, the chief guest Sri Murugan, Agriculture Officer addressed the students. The inauguration was conducted by our chief guest and afterwards, the seed packets distributed to the School Principal Sri. Sunil M S, class representatives from class I to class XII and to the teacher representatives.

CLASS PTA Meeting

A Class Parent Teacher Meet was held on 26th September 2019 to discuss the performance of students with their parents.

It was a great interaction between the teachers and the parents for the development of their children where they discussed both the strengths and areas of improvements. The progress report for the first term was shown to the parents and their suggestions were noted.

The Class PTA Meeting came to an end with the conclusion that the progress of the students depends on the joint effort of parents and teachers.
